SVHN Pro Terms
Version 2026-10-20
These terms apply when you accept a Job Card or save a payment method on SVHN. They add to the site Terms of Service. For a plain summary with examples, see How SVHN fees work.
1. What SVHN does
SVHN introduces homeowners to professionals. SVHN is not a contractor and is not a party to any agreement between you and a homeowner. SVHN does not quote, negotiate, sign or perform work, and does not collect payment for work. You contract with and are paid by the homeowner directly.
2. Your licenses
You confirm you hold, and will keep, every license, registration and insurance your work requires, including a California contractor's license for work of $1,000 or more or that needs a permit. You will tell SVHN if a license lapses.
3. Lead fees
When you accept a Job Card you agree to pay the SVHN lead fee for that introduction. The Job Card shows the deposit, the estimated total and any discount before you accept. Fees in force on the day you accept apply to that Job Card.
- Deposit: charged when you accept. It counts toward the job's lead fee and is not refundable except as listed under Credits.
- Balance: the total lead fee for the final job size, minus the deposit, due when you close the job. A 20% discount applies if you close within 7 days of the visit.
- Founding Pro jobs: your first 2 accepted jobs carry no lead fee.
4. Work for the same homeowner
For 12 months after you accept a Job Card, the lead fee applies to any paid work you do for that homeowner, whether or not you report it through SVHN. Log it with “Add work” or close it on the Job Card.
5. Confirming jobs with homeowners
SVHN asks homeowners about each job. If a homeowner reports a larger job, or work you didn't report, the fee is calculated at the size the homeowner reports, without the close discount, unless you show your invoice. You can ask SVHN to review any adjustment (see Disputes).
6. Platform standards
SVHN may lower your priority for 90 days after 2 confirmed strikes in 12 months, and stop sending Job Cards after 3. A strike needs evidence such as a homeowner's confirmation, receipt or permit, and you can appeal.
7. Payment authorization
You authorize SVHN, through its payment processor Stripe, to charge the card you save: (a) the deposit each time you accept a Job Card, and (b) balances, adjustments and other lead fees under these terms, added up and charged about once a week, or when they reach $200. Amounts vary with the jobs you accept and close. You will get an email receipt for every charge. This authorization lasts until you remove your card, which you can do at any time from your billing page; fees already owed stay payable.
8. Declined payments
If a charge is declined, SVHN will email you and pause new Job Cards until you update your card. SVHN may retry the charge on the updated card.
9. Credits
SVHN credits the deposit when you show that the homeowner could not be reached after 3 attempts over 48 hours, the request was fake, spam or a duplicate, it was outside your category or service area, or the homeowner cancelled within 24 hours and before the visit. If the final job is smaller than the deposit's size, the difference is credited. Credits reduce your next charges.
10. Optional prepaid funds
You may prepay lead fees. Prepaid funds can only pay SVHN fees, cannot be transferred, do not expire, and are used before your card. Unused prepaid funds are refunded to the original payment method on request. Promotional credits (such as a bank-payment bonus) have no cash value.
11. Disputes about a charge
Tell SVHN within 60 days of a charge by replying to the receipt or using your billing page. SVHN will respond within 10 business days and refund or credit any amount charged in error. Please contact SVHN before disputing a charge with your bank.
12. Changes
SVHN will email you at least 30 days before changing lead fees or these terms. Changes apply only to Job Cards accepted after the effective date. Continuing to accept Job Cards after that date means you accept the change.
13. Ending
You can stop accepting Job Cards and remove your card at any time. SVHN may suspend or end access for breach of these terms. Fees for Job Cards already accepted remain payable.
