The Silicon Valley Home Network ("SVHN," "we," "us") connects homeowners with local professionals across the home journey. This policy describes what information we handle, why, and the choices you have.
Information you provide
- Homeowners & members: account details, saved professionals, shares and recommendations you make, and any messages you send through contact forms.
- Professionals & business owners: business information you confirm or add when claiming your Showcase (name, services, service areas, contact details, photos), and dashboard activity.
- Reviews & reputation: reviews you submit on SVHN, and reputation context displayed on your Showcase.
Public business information
Some business information is displayed publicly on Showcases and in search results so homeowners can discover professionals. Claimed businesses show owner-confirmed details. Unclaimed businesses follow our public projection rules and do not expose private owner information such as owner email or private phone numbers.
How we use information
To operate the network, display Showcases, enable saving and sharing, route contact inquiries, provide next-action guidance, and improve SVHN. We do not sell your personal information.
Engagement events
SVHN records lightweight engagement events (such as a Showcase being viewed, saved, shared, or recommended) to improve the product and inform next actions. These events reference a business identifier and basic context — not unnecessary personal details.
Professional connections
Trusted professional connections reflect relationships between professionals. "Trusted" denotes professional relationships, owner-confirmed business information, and SVHN reputation — not an independent guarantee or endorsement of every professional.
Data retention & your choices
You can remove saved professionals from your home network. Professionals can update their Showcase information. To request changes or deletion of your account data, contact us.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and opt in, Silicon Valley Home Network may send you text messages about your service request — for example, confirmations, status updates, and requests for photos. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using our service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share the details of your service request only with the professionals we match you with, so they can respond to your request.
